2 lynched in Keraniganj

Two suspected robbers were beaten to death by a mob in Keraniganj Upazila early Sunday. The identities of the deceased could not be known. Quoting locals, Majibar Rahman, officer-in-charge of Keraniganj Model Police Station, said local people caught the two suspected robbers in Dharmasur area around 2:00am. The unruly villagers beat them mercilessly, leaving them dead on the spot. Being informed, police recovered the bodies on Sunday morning and sent those to Mitford Hospital in Dhaka city for autopsy, according to a news agency.
