2 minors drown

GAZIPUR, Sept 6 (UNB): A minor boy and a girl drowned in the river Turag at Shakaswar village in Kalikoir Upazila Saturday.
The dead were identified as Safayet (8), son of Kazi Babul and his cousin Hira (7), daughter of Humayun Kabir.
Family sources said they drowned while bathing in the river in the afternoon. They did not know how to swim.
Later, local people recovered the floating bodies from the river.
