2 minors drown in Rangamati

Two minor boys drowned at Kaptai Lake of Vandaripara area under Borkal Upazila of Rangamati district on Sunday evening. The victims were identified as Sakib, 7, son of Sabuj Miah and Mamun, 6, son of M Hashem of Dangripara village of the Upazila. Police and locals said they were playing beside the lake. Later, they drowned in the lake when went to the water body for taking a bath after playing. Police recovered the bodies with the help of the locals in a floating condition after a hectic search and sent to Rangamati General Hospital on Monday morning. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Borkal thana M Abdul Gafur confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
