2 more die, 65 hospitalised

The country witnessed two more deaths from dengue fever in the last 24 hours ending at 8:00am on Tuesday while 65 patients were hospitalised during the same time.
With the latest daily counts, total fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease this year reached 12 and 2,812 positive cases 2,812, official statistics revealed.
Of the latest infection cases, 51 patients were admitted to different hospitals of Dhaka city and 14 in other regions of the country, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in a regular bulletin.
Outside Dhaka, Chattogram division recorded all the remaining 14 cases including 10 in Cox's Bazar.
Currently 322 dengue patients including 246 in the capital and 76 in other districts are getting treatments in different hospitals and healthcare facilities.
On the other hand, a total of 2,487 patients have been released from hospitals after receiving treatment so far in the year.
The first two days of August reported 152 daily caseloads. July reported 1,571 cases and June 737 cases.
The month of July witnessed nine deaths while June saw a single death.
