2 more minor girls raped in city

Two more minor girls have become victims of rape in separate incidents in the city’s Hazaribagh and Mirpur areas as there seems no end to the nefarious act. Police arrested a suspected rapist known as Khokon in connection with the Hazaribagh incident. Both the minor victims were being given treatment at the One Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Sources at the DMCH said a nine-year-old girl was raped allegedly by her neighbour, Rasel, 30, at Pirerbagh in Mirpur around 3pm on Saturday. Victim’s parents informed police after they came to know about the incident. Later, she was taken to the OCC around 2:40am on Sunday, according to a news agency.
