2 Myanmarese held with 40,000 Yaba

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel recovered 40,000 pieces of Yaba tablet worth Tk 12 million in Teknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazaar district on Sunday. The border force also arrested two Myanmarese nationals. The identity of the arrested could not be known. Sources at the BGB headquarters said a team of the BGB-42 Battalion challenged two Myanmar citizens when they arrived at the bank of Naf River from Myanmar illegally by a boat around 7:00am. Later, the paramilitary force recovered 40,000 Yaba tablets after searching their bodies. Commanding officer of BGB-42 Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jar Al Zahid confirmed the arrests, according to a news agency.
