2 registrars appointed at SC

A day after appointing its registrar general, the Supreme Court on Monday appointed two registrars for its Appellate Division and the High Court Division.
Additional registrar of the Appellate Division M Zakir Hossain, also District and Session Judge, has been made registrar of the division while HC additional registrar Abdu Syed Diljar Hossain, also District and Session Judge, promoted as the HC registrar, a news agency report said.
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha made the appointment, said HC Additional Registrar M Sabbir Foyez.
Earlier on Sunday, Supreme Court registrar Syed Aminul Islam, also Senior District and Session Judge, was appointed as its registrar general.
In February, the SC sent a proposal to the Law Ministry for creating 11 posts to speed up the administrative functions of the judiciary.
On June 1, the Law Ministry approved nine posts, including the post of register general after the approval from the Finance Ministry.
