2 robbers held in Moulvibazar

Two alleged robbers were held in Bharaura Bagan under Srimangol Upazila in Moulvibazar on Sunday. The arrestees are Jasim Miah, 32, son of Bazlu Miah, a resident of Lakhai Upazila of Habiganj district and Paran Miah, 38, son of late Manu Miah of Nasirnagar of Brahmanbaria district. Police said being tipped off that a gang of robbers was taking preparation to commit a robbery in Bharaura Bagan area, a team of Srimangol Police Station conducted a drive there and arrested the duo. Police recovered several country-made weapons from their possession. Sub-inspector Rajib Mandol of the police station said the arrested belonged to an inter-district robbers’ gang, according to UNB.
