2 Shibir cadres taken on 5-day remand in Satkhira

SATKHIRA, June 1 (BSS): Two cadres of Islami Chhatra Shibir, arrested with radio frequency devices from Alam Hostel at a Government College area in the town on Saturday night, were taken on a 5-day remand today for interrogation.
They are: SM Kamrul Hassan (22), son of Md Abdus Sabur of village Kulia under Debhata Upazila, and Jahidul Islam (26), son of Nur Islam of Etagachha area in the town. Earlier, Sadar Thana Sub-Inspector Firoz Kabir prayed for a 10-day remand for the arrested Shibir duo.
On a tip-off, police raided the Alam Hostel and recovered a high power antenna, electric wires, computer, compact disks, FM band radio, Islamic Jihadi books, key board, stabilisers and frequency devices from their possession.
Both the arrested shibirmen are the students of Satkhira Government College.
