2 shot dead in Goalanda

Unidentified miscreants have shot dead two persons including a woman at Goalanda in Rajbarhi. Police, however, could not ascertain the cause of the murders immediately on Friday. Three young men riding a motorcycle shot Salmi, 40, who lived at the Daulatdia Red-light District, and Chand Miah, 42, a local businessman, near Daulatdia Rail Station on the bank of the Padma River around 6:30pm and sped away. Locals rushed them to Goalanda Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared them dead. Abul Bashar, OC at Goalanda Ghat Police Station, said the bodies had been kept in the hospital, according to bdnews24.com.
