2 siblings drown in Jhenidah

Two siblings drowned in a pond in Nawpara village under Shailakupa upazila in Jhenidah district on Monday. The deceased were identified as Riti, 8, and her brother Nirob, 4, of Nathpara in the village. Locals said the victims went to the pond near the house of their grandfather playing in the morning. They met their fate as they fell into the water body at one stage. Later, their bodies were rescued from the pond, according to a news agency.
