Wednesday, 17 September 2014

A brother and sister were found dead at their home in Dhaka past midnight Tuesday, report agencies.
Police say they have recovered a suicide note from the spot.
The deceased were identified as Chirashree Zaman Munmun (18), daughter of Alimul Haque Tipu, and her younger brother Mohammad Bin Alim (15) of Sajjan Kanda village in Sadar upazila of Rajbari district.
They along with their mother Joyshree Zaman had been living in the house No 413, Uttara sector-13.
Uttara (West) Police Station OC Rafukul Islam said the bodies were recovered around 1.30 am after their mother Jayasree Zaman informed the police.
Zaman works as a senior sub-editor at the national news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), the agency's Senior Reporter Khairuzzaman Kamal said.
He said that their father lives in China with his second wife.
Quoting the mother, OC Islam said that Zaman spoke with her daughter Jayasree around 9pm over the phone.
She informed the police after finding the siblings dead in their rooms around 11am.
The bodies have been sent to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
Police said the two siblings might have committed suicide as they were frustrated since their father Alimul has gone aboard along with his second wife.
