2 sisters \\\'end life\\\' together in Magura

Two sisters allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves from a single rope in Durgapur village in Magura Sadar Upazila on Friday. The deceased were identified as Antara Begum, 18, a Class-XI student of Magura Government Women’s College, and her sister Chaity Begum, 15, a Class-X student of Ramnagar High School. They were daughters of Farhad Hossain of the village. Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Munshi Asaduzzaman said the two sisters hanged themselves from the ceiling of a room around 8pm after their parents rebuked them over their love affairs. Being informed, police recovered the bodies and sent those to the hospital for autopsy. Victims’ father said they committed suicide following a family feud, according to a news agency.
