2 to die for killing N\\\'ganj businessman

A Narayanganj court on Monday sentenced 2 people to death and another one to life term imprisonment for killing a businessman in 2011. The two condemned convicts -- Rana Miah and Moslemuddin – and lifer Amir Hossain remain absconding. All the three convicts hail from Bandar Upazila of Narayanganj district. The court also fined the death convicts Tk 2,50,000 each. The lifer was fined Tk 2,00,000. According to the prosecution, the trio killed businessman Nazrul Islamof the Upazila, and threw the body into Shitalakkha River on Oct 22, 2011. Following the murder. Nazrul’s brother filed a case against the convicts. After examining the records and witnesses, Additional District and Sessions Judge Mamunur Rashid gave the verdict, according to a news agency.
