2 units of Baropukuria power plant shut for technical glitches

DINAJPUR, Nov 5: Two units of Baropukuria Thermal Power Plant were shut following technical glitches Friday afternoon. Sources at the coal-fired power plant said the No 1 unit was shut down Friday afternoon after its tubes developed leaks. They said the No 2 unit was also closed for similar reason. - UNB Mild tremor felt in Mymensingh A mild tremor jolted Mymensingh region Saturday early morning. The earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter Scale shook the region at 10 hours 45 minutes 06.19 seconds, said a special Met office bulletin. The distance of epicenter was 107 kms north of Agargaon Seismic Centre in the capital. There was no immediate report of any damage or causality. - UNB
