2 war crime cases filed with Jessore court

JESSORE, Mar 29: Two war crime cases were filed with a judicial magistrate's court in Jessore on Sunday by two persons.
The cases were filed by Abdus Sabur, son of late Yousuf Ali of Mobarakpur under Monirampur Upazila and Rafiq Uddin Sheikh, son of Ichhar Uddin Sheikh of village Harergati under Monirampur Upazila in Jessore with the court of judicial magistrate Kaisarul Islam on Sunday. The magistrate ordered the officer-in-charge of Monirampur police station to take steps after proper investigations.
According to the case statements, Abdul Majid Dafader, uncle of the complainant, Rajakar commander Mahbub and Meher Jallad and some others killed Abdus Sabur's father Yousuf Ali of Mobarakpur under Monirampur Upazila in Jessore on the night of July 21, 1971.
He was killed only because as he was a freedom fighter.
On the other hand, freedom fighter Faizar Hossain, nephew of complainant Rafiq Uddin of Harergati under Monirampur Upazila in Jessore was killed by suspected rajakar Bahadur Ali and some others of the same village on October 10, 1971.
After filing of the case, the magistrate issued two separate orders to the officer-in-charge of Monirampur police station to take steps after proper investigations.
