2 women commit suicide in separate incidents

MOULVIBAZAR, Aug 4 (UNB): A housewife allegedly committed suicide by taking poison in Giasnagar union of Sadar upazila on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mina Rani Dash, 55, wife of Sitaram of the area.
Locals said Mina took poison in her room on Saturday night and later was rushed to Sadar hospital where she died on Sunday morning.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The reason behind the suicide could not be known yet.
BSS reports from Rajshahi: A housewife allegedly committed suicide by jumping under a running train at near Darikhorbona Railway crossing under Boalia Police Station in the city today.
The deceased was identified as Bhanu Begum, 40, wife of Laltu Sheikh, a resident of the same area.
Quoting locals, police said Bhanu might apparently committed suicide at about 9.45 am following an altercation with her husband.
Being informed, a police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Sunil Kumar Ghosh, Officer-in-Charge of Rajshahi Government Railway Police (GRP).
An unnatural death (UD) case was recorded with the GRP Police Station in this connection.
