2 workers die inhaling toxic gas in Comilla

Comilla, May 20 (UNB):  Two workers died after inhaling toxic gas in a septic tank of an under-construction building in Chandina Upazila headquarters Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Kala Chan (30), of Gouripur Upazila in Mymensingh, and Jabbar Miah (35), son of Sona Miah of Dakkhin Chandina of the upazila headquarters.
Witnesses said the two workers fell unconscious after inhaling toxic gas when they went inside the septic tank to remove bamboo sticks at Dakkhin Chandina at about 1:00 pm.
Being informed, firefighters rescued the duo and sent them to Chandina Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared them dead.
