2 workers die inhaling toxic gas in Pabna

Two construction workers died and another fell sick after inhaling toxic gas inside a septic tank at Juktitala village in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna on Tuesday. Biman Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Ishwardi Police Station, said three workers -- Pappu, Jony and Alam -- fell unconscious while cleaning the septic tank at the house of one Bappi in the area. Pappu died on the spot after inhaling toxic gas. Being informed, fire service men rushed in and rescued Jony and Alam in an unconscious condition around 2 pm. However, Jony died on the way to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex, according to a news agency.
