2 young men shot in city

Some miscreants shot and injured two young men in Dhaka’s Shajadpur area early Friday. Hospital sources said unidentified armed miscreants opened fire on Ramjan Ali, 30, and Alamgir Mohiuddin, 20, around 2:00am, leaving them critically injured. Ramjan Ali is a paternal cousin of Alamgir Mohiuddin, family sources said. Ramjan’s father Saidur Rahman said he heard the two youths screaming around 2:00am. He rushed to the spot and found them lying in a pool of blood on the ground outside their. They were rescued and rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he said. Hospital sources said both are in critical conditions. ‘Ramjan was shot in head and waist while Alamgir Mohiuddin received bullet injuries in his chest and face,’ the duty doctor at the DMCH said, according to a news agency.
