2 youths stabbed to death in districts

MUNSHIGANJ, Nov 10 (UNB)-A youth was stabbed to death at Kamarkhara village in Tongibari upazila Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Ripon Bhuiyan, 22. He was a worker of a grill shop. Officer-in-charge of Tongibari thana Kazi Daud Hossain said two groups of youths locked into an altercation over a cricket match at Kamarkhara bazar at about 7 pm. At one stage, one Sujon stabbed Ripon when he (Ripon) went there to settle the dispute, leaving him seriously wounded. Ripon later succumbed to his injuries at the upazila health complex at around 9 pm. Sujon fled away soon after the incident. A case was filed. Another report says: A college student was stabbed to death over land dispute at Musapur village in Sonargaon upazila Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Mafizul Islam, 18, son of Shahidullah Miah of the village and a second year student of local Nazimuddin Bhuiyan Degree College. Officer-in-charge of Sonargaon thana M Yunus Ali quoting local people said there was a longstanding enmity between Shahidullah and his neighbour Jahid over a piece of land.
