20 injured as AL men clash over capturing \\\'Khas\\\' land in Pabna

PABNA, Nov 5: At least 20 people were injured as two rival groups of Awami League (AL) clashed over capturing a piece of 'Khas' land in Chatmohar Upazila of the district Wednesday morning. Police opened five rounds of bullet to bring the situation under control.
The clash erupted between the supporters of Shah Alam member, organising secretary of Handial union unit AL and the men of Afsar Mondol, an activist of the party in the same union at Paikpara-Deflechora village of the union at about 9.00 am.
Police and the locals said when the men of Shah Alam cultivated corn on 50 decimals of land at the village the men of Afsar Mondol tried to resist them resulting in the clash.
