20 injured in Kushtia clashes

KUSHTIA, Apr 18 (UNB): At least 20 people were injured in a series of clashes between two groups over establishing dominance in Kushtia Sadar upazila on Saturday morning.
Among the injured, several with serious injuries were admitted to Kushtia General Hospital.
Besides, at least 30 houses were vandalised during the clashes, creating panic in the area.According to police, two rival social groups comprising residents of six villages, including Ujan Gram and Gaznabipur, have long been at odds over dominance.
The clash first erupted in Gaznabipur in the morning and later spread to Ujan Gram.
