20 Jamaat-Shibir men land in jail

A court in Khulna district on Monday sent 20 local leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami to jail rejecting their bail prayers in three separate cases filed for exploding bombs and obstructing police from performing their duties. Khulna district (south) unit Jamaat Nayeb-e-Ameer Advocate Liakat Ali and Shramik Kalyan Federation president Qazi Tamzid Alam were also sent to the jail. Paikgachha Senior Judicial Magistrate Abu Bakkar Siddique passed the order after the accused appeared before his court seeking bail in three cases, according to UNB.
