20 killed in Natore road accident

At least 20 people have been killed in a head-on collision between two buses in Natore district. Police say the collision between buses has left a further 20 injured. Monday afternoon’s mishap took place on the Banpara-Hatikumrul highway. Bonpara highway police OC Fuad Hossain said a ‘Keya Paribahan’ bus collided with an oncoming bus in the Rejir Mor area leaving at least 20 others injured. Baraigram police OC Munirul Islam claimed 20 bodies were kept at the scene of the accident. However, Natore Superintendent of Police Basudeb Banik said the body count may rise. Locals rushed the injured victims to Banpara Amena Hospital, according to a news agency.
