20-party’s fresh 24-hr hartal tomorrow
Wednesday, 1 April 2015
FE Report
The BNP-led 20-party alliance called on Tuesday a fresh 24-hour countrywide hartal for the ninth week, except a brief pause last week, from 6.0am on Thursday, demanding return of missing BNP leaders, including joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed, to their families.
BNP joint secretary general Barkatullah Bulu, on behalf of the alliance, announced the shutdown programme, which is also meant for pressing their demands for holding a fresh national election under a non-party administration and release of senior leaders.
Under the new announcement, the 20-party will stage demonstrations in all districts, upazilas, thanas, municipalities, and all thanas in the divisional cities today (Wednesday), whereas the 24-hour shutdown programme will end at 6am on Friday.
