2,017 schools achieve 100pc success rate

A total of 2,017 institutions achieved 100 per cent pass rate in this year's SSC and equivalent examinations, while the number was 2,927 last year, reports BSS.
Of those, 256 institutions are from Dhaka, 76 from Rajshahi, 112 from Comilla, 150 from Jessore, 48 from Chittagong, 18 from Barisal, 42 from Sylhet, 48 from Dinajpur, while 1150 are under Madrasa Board and 117 under Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).
The number of schools and madrasahs having cent per cent success was 2726 in 2009, 2774 in 2008 and 77429 in 2007, statistics of Education Board Computer Centre show.
Besides, the number of least-performing institutions in SSC, Dakhil and SSC (Vocational) exams has also come down to 28 from previous year's 49.
One school from Barisal, five schools under the BTEB and 22 under Madrasah Board failed to have any successful candidate this year.
The number of least performing schools and madrasahs was 72 in 2009, 91 in 2008, 248 in 2007 and 193 in 2006.
