20th convocation of AIUB held

The 20th convocation of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) was held on the university campus on Sunday, says a press release.
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni distributed awards among the meritorious students for their excellence and conferred the degrees on graduating students at the convocation as the chief guest while Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury was present as the special guest.
The graduating students participated in the convocation virtually.
British High Commissioner in Bangladesh Robert Chatterton Dickson attended it as the convocation speaker and Chairman of AIUB Board of Trustees Dr Hasanul A Hasan and Vice Chancellor of the university Dr Carmen Z Lamagna also spoke on the occasion.
Nuder Nowar Nizam was the valedictorian who spoke on the occasion on behalf of the graduating students.
A total of 2,878 students under the academic years 2019-20 and 2020-21 were conferred the bachelor's and master's degree at the convocation.
