21 activists of 19-party held in Bogra

BOGRA: Police in their overnight drive arrested 21 activists of the BNP-led 19-party alliance from different parts of the district.
Faizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said law enforcers arrested them during their drives from Monday night to Tuesday morning. Of them, 13 were wanted in several cases, he said, according to a news agency.
Abdul Halim, Jamaat ameer of Shibganj municipality unit and a lecturer of Mahi Sarwar Degree College, local leaders of Jubo Dal Lition, Babu, 26, Jony, Ali Haider, and Swechchhasebak Dal leader Babu were among the accused. They were shown arrest in a case filed for vandalism and arson attack.
With this, police have arrested 500 activists of the 19-party alliance in a week.
