21 businesses fined Tk 0.18m

The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) has fined 21 business establishments across the country Tk 0.18 million (Tk 181,000) for violating consumer rights. A total of 7 teams of the DNCRP conducted drives on Monday in Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal and Rangpur, and imposed the fine on the business houses, including restaurants. In Dhaka, a mobile court fined an eatery at New Market in the city Tk 50,000, said a handout, according to press release.
