22 plots under sugarcane cultivation

JAMALPUR, Jan 26 (BSS): Bangladesh Sugarcane Research Institute (BSRI), Jamalpur sub-station has brought 22 plots under sugarcane cultivation in the district this year.
According to the BSRI office, under the annual research programme the plots have been taken up through 22 farmers. Each of the plot has been set up on 33 decimals of land. Of which 12 are demonstration plots, 4 seeds plots, 5 research plots and one is museum plot.
The office source said, in museum plot 23 varieties of sugarcane have been planted. Besides, disease free, healthy and clean seeds will be produced in the 4 seed plots.
