220MG flat wagons to be added to Railway by May

220 Metre Gauge (MG) flat wagons will be added to Bangladesh Railway (BR) by May under Indian Line of Credit (LoC), as the state-run service facing wagons crisis, officials said Monday. "Of them some MG flat wagons will join our fleet in between March and April and the rest are expected to reach Bangladesh by May," the railway official said. He said the railway was currently faced with shortage of wagons and also passenger coaches while a tender for procuring 100 MG and 50 Broad Gauge (BG) coaches will be floated soon. — BSS
