23 Bangladesh nationals held at Benapole

The members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) rounded up 23 people, including women and children, while crossing the India-Bangladesh border at Benapole in Jessore on Friday night. All the detainees are Bangladeshi national, sources at the BGB Battalion-23 said on Saturday. Being tipped off a team of BGB 23 Battalion raided Putkhali border point at Benapole union in Sarsa Upazila on Friday night and picked up the 23 when they were trying to go to India illegally. Later, the BGB men handed over the 23 detainees to Benapole Port Police Station, according to a news agency.
