23 live bombs recovered

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) personnel in a drive recovered 23 powerful bombs from Chamagram area in Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila on Wednesday. Tipped off, a team of RAB-5 conducted a drive in the area around 9.00am and recovered 23 live bombs, contained in four bags, in an abandoned condition from behind a refueling station, said Major Qamruzzaman Pavel, camp commander of the RAB-5. However, none was arrested. Qamruzzaman said miscreants might have kept the bombs there for carrying out subversive activities centering the Cupreme Court verdict of Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Delawar Hossain Sayedee’s case, according to a news agency.
