24 cattle markets set up in Khulna

KHULNA, Oct 29: A total of 24 cattle markets have been set up in Khulna district ahead of Eid-ul-Azha. Of them 14 permanent cattle markets in 9 upazilas and 10 makeshift cattle markets including Jora Gate cattle market of the city are operated by the Khulna City Corporation. Police administration has taken special measures to ensure security including checking fake notes. Separate teams have been formed to resist fake currency notes in the cattle markets.
District police source said that seven police personnel with one officer will be deployed in each cattle market. The only cattle market of the city will start from October-31 under the direct supervision of KCC. The commercial banks and police administration have taken adequate measures to defect fake notes.
Tanvir Hayder Choudhury SP Khulna said special team has been formed on behalf district police to identify the fake note.
