24 \\\'Chhatri Sangstha\\\' activists detained

Police have detained 24 suspected activists of Islami Chhatri Sangstha in Dhaka for allegedly plotting subversive act. All of them, aged between 22 and 24 years, are students of various colleges and universities, police say. Chhatri Sangstha is the female wing of Jamaat-e-Islami's student front Islami Chhatra Shibir. All of them, aged between 22 and 24 years, are suspected to be members of Islami Chhatra Shibir's female wing, Islami Chhatri Sangstha. They were detained from a house in Goran towards Wednesday evening, said Khilgaon Police Station's in-charge Sirajul Islam. He said a number of 'provocative books' were found on them but did not say what the books contained. 'We nabbed them acting on a tip-off,' he said. 'Their movements appeared suspicious,' according to bdnews24.com.
