25 injured, 5 by bullets, in B\\\'baria

At least 25 people were injured – five of them hit by bullets – in a series of clashes in Brahmanbaria Sadar upazila on Wednesday. Thirteen-year-old ‘Sabuj’ was rushed to Dhaka city in a critical condition while the rest of the injured were admitted to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital. Sadar Police Station OC Abdur Rab said the clash between the people of two villages erupted over snatching of a mobile phone around 10 am. The police had to open fire to bring the situation under control. That is when five villagers were hit by bullets. 10 to 12 houses and shops were damaged and looted during the clash. Additional police forces have been deployed in the area, said OC Rab, according to a news agency.
