26 commitments out of 54 fulfilled in 9th JS

A total of 26 commitments were fulfilled out of 54 committed by the Ministers and State Ministers of different ministries in the 9th Jatiya Sangsad (parliament). It was revealed at the 7th meeting of the parliamentary standing committee on government’s commitments held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Monday. The meeting also discussed the progress of implementation of the commitments made by the Prime Minister and the Home Minister on Bangladesh Police, a press release said. The other committed projects are under implementation. As per assurance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a total of 273 fire service stations have been set up out of 496 in the districts and the rest will be completed during the tenure of the government. The meeting also discussed the project of machine readable passport (MRP) in every district which will start within a month. The issues of border security, prevention of drug smuggling and safe waterways were also discussed, according to BSS.
