262 publishers to get stalls at Ekushey book fair

A total of 262 publishers will get stall allocation at the country's month long mega book fair - "Amar Ekushey Boi Mela" marking the International Mother Language Day on February 21, reports BSS.
"This year, we have to build a portion of stalls on the road in front of the Bangla Academy, as construction is going on inside the boundary of the Academy," Bangla Academy Director General Shamsuzzaman Khan told the news agency Sunday.
The academy has selected 262 publishers, under creative publishers' society and sellers' society, for stall allotment against 320 applications. Of the 262 stalls, 131 will be allocated under unit 1, 83 under unit 2 and 48 under unit 3.
