27 LDP leaders demand expulsion of Col Oli

Twenty-seven national executive committee members of Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) have demanded expulsion of executive president Col (retd) Oli Ahmed and Shahadat Hossain Selim, reports UNB.
In a joint statement on Tuesday they said Oli had on his own prepared constitution of the party and sent to the media offices claiming that it was approved by the party. In fact, the so-called constitution was never discussed in the party forums nor was it approved.
They urged the party president AQM Badruddozza Chowdhury to expel Oli, his close associates Selim and others in an immediate purging drive against dishonest leaders and suspected corrupt persons.
Signatories to the statement include Joynul Abedin Khan, Abu Muzaffar Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain Mondal, Shahadat Hossain and Joynal Abedin Zayedi.
