2nd Asian International Trade Expo begins Aug 13

The "2nd Asian international trade expo 2009" - a 7-day exhibition on trade & consumer begins August 13 in city's Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
Conference and Exhibition Management Services Ltd (CEMS), USA in association with `CEMS Bangladesh' is organizing the event.
"Asia is considered to be the fastest-growing region in the world with GDP growth in the asia-pacific region surged at an average annual rate of 6.3 per cent and south Asia with 6.4 percent compared with growth of 3.1 per cent in the rest of the world. The real driver of the world economy has been Asia, which has accounted for over half of the world's growth since 2001," S. S. Sarwar, Group director - global operations of the company said in a press conference in the city Sunday.
Asia has 21 per cent contribution to the increase in world GDP, he said.
Keeping this in view, CEMS USA has launched a series of exhibition `Asian international trade expo' showcasing all products/services from Asian countries. The exhibition will revolve within Asia with the 2nd edition being held again in Dhaka and the next edition scheduled to be held in Mumbai in `2010' and `2011' in Singapore.
Exhibitors manufacturing or representing Asian products / services will be able to display / sell their products at the `2nd Asian international trade Expo 2009' - to make the people of Bangladesh more aware of the advantages of Asian products / services and new innovations and technology available for them.
Over 100 exhibitors from 6 countries with exhibit profile like consumer Electronics, communication technology, automobiles, motorcycles, food and Beverage, healthcare products, personal care and beauty products, household Products, real estate companies, fashion & accessories, arts and crafts are Participating in this exhibition.
The exhibition will be open for visitors everyday from 10.30 am to 8 pm.
