2nd day of tax fairs fetches Tk 5.26b

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) received Tk 5.26 billion income tax Thursday from the tax fairs across the country which is 11 per cent higher than that of the corresponding period last year. Some 17,218 people submitted income tax returns in the tax fairs on Thursday posting 4.0 per cent growth over the same day last year. A total of 105,357 people obtained services while some 3,228 taxpayers obtained e-TIN. Number of e-TIN holders marked 35 per cent rise on the second day of the fairs compared to the same day last year.    — FE Report
