2nd phase of Upazila polls on Feb 27

Elections to 117 Upazilas in 52 districts will be held in the second phase on February 27. Army will maintain law and order in the polling areas like in the first phase, the Election Commission (EC) has announced. The submission of nomination ends on February 2, while the deadline for the withdrawal of candidature is February 11, according to the schedule announced by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad on Thursday, according to a news agency.
