Police’s Detective Branch has detained three Africans from Dhaka’s Uttara area with equipment to produce fake US dollars. The arrests were made during a raid in Uttara’s Sector-5 on Wednesday morning, DMP Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman said. The DB team, led by Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Nazmul Alam, also seized papers, chemicals and manual to make counterfeit dollars from the arrested trio. These three Africans are members of an international racket involved in counterfeiting currencies, the DB said in a press release. The Interpol had earlier warned the Bangladesh Police about these criminals. Police on Monday arrested three Pakistani militants with a laptop and bomb-making manual from Dhaka’s Segunbagicha, according to bdnews24.com.
