3 arrested with firearms, ammo in Khagrachari

A joint team of army and police in a drive arrested three men along with firearms and ammunition from a garden in Patachhora union of Ramgarh upazila of Khagrachari district on Saturday. The arrestees were identified as Anwar Hossain, 46, Mohammad Shamsul Haque and Abdul Khalek, 43. Sources of police and army said being tipped off, the joint team led by Commander Major Mahfuz Chowdhury of Guimara army sub zone, conducted a drive in the area and recovered two foreign revolvers loaded with 10 rounds of bullet, two pipe guns and four rounds of bullet in an abandoned condition. Later they arrested them in connection with the incident, according to a news agency.
