3 BCL activists held at DU

Police arrested three activists of Dhaka University (DU) unit of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Tuesday for their alleged involvement in creating chaos at the university.
The arrestees were identified as Sumon of Salimullah Muslim Hall, Utpal Shaha of Jagannath Hall and Kamal of Ziaur Rahman Hall.
There are a score of allegations of exacting toll, snatching and beating supporters of their rival groups against the arrested BCL activists.
When contacted, Shahbagh thana Officer-in-Charge Rejaul Karim said the BCL activists were arrested, as they were attempting to spoil the academic atmosphere of the DU by creating anarchy for the last few days.
