3 bikers die in Panchagarh crash

Three motorcyclists were killed as a truck hit their bike on Panchagarh-Dhaka highway in Jagadal area under Panchagarh Sadar upazila early Friday. The deceased were identified as Moslem, alias Sanaul, 45, and Salimul, 50, of Thutapakuri village in the upazila, and Khorshed Alam, 50, of Basuniapara village also in the upazila. Police and witnesses said a Tentulia-bound truck from Panchagarh town rammed the motorbike from behind around 12:30am while the trio was returning home after placing wreaths at the local Shaheed Minar on the occasion of International Mother Language Day. Sanaul and Salimul died on the spot while Khorshed suffered serious injuries who died at Panchagarh Modern Hospital early in the morning, according to UNB.
