3 bikers die in Rangpur crash

Three motorcyclists were killed as a truck crashed into the motorbike they were riding on the Rangpur-Bogra Highway in Mithapukur upazila in Rangpur on Tuesday night. The deceased, identified as Firoz, 22, son of Majnu Mia, Arafat Rahman, 20, son of Mithu Mia, and Mizan, 25, hailed from different villages in the upazila. Police and locals said a speeding truck hit the bike the three friends – Firoz, Arafat and Mizan – were riding on the highway at Dulhapur around 07:45pm on their way back home from Eid shopping in a Rangpur city market, leaving Firoz and Arafat dead on the spot and Mizan critically injured. Mizan was taken to Mithapukur Upazila Health Complex where the doctor declared him dead, according to UNB.
