Three BNP activists have been arretsed from Altab Ali Park in East London for their alleged involvement in an attack on a UK chapter Juba Mohila Awami League rally on Tuesday. However, the identities of the arrestees could not be known. Sources said the BNP men were detained following the attack on Juba Mohila League’s demonstration protesting BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman’s insulting remarks on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. A group of activists of BNP’s UK unit, equipped with sticks, alledgedly swooped on the Juba Mohila League leaders leaving some of them, including its London chapter president Yasmin Polin and general secretary Snigdha Sazia, injured. Being informed, police rushed in and detained three attackers, reportedly BNP men, from the spot while the rest managed to flee the scene, sources said, according to a news agency.
