3 cops injured in Ctg police station bomb blast

A powerful bomb went off at a police station in Chittagong city injuring at least three police men who were preparing a seizure list after arresting a 'terrorist'’. Two of the injured were identified as Zahangir Alam, inspector (investigation) of Pahartali Police Station in the port city, and Fazlul Haque, a sub-inspector, also of the police station. They injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) with severe splinter injures and of them condition of one was stated to be critical. Police and hospital sources said a bomb exploded around 01:00am in a room in the police station when the trio were making a seizure list arresting an alleged criminal with some bombs, a lighter gun (LG) and a bullet, according to a news agency.
